Facelift is a procedure that surgically tightens your skin to counteract the effects of ageing. The excess skin is removed and underlying fascia tucked, restoring a youthful and natural appearance.

Mini facelift focuses mainly on the lower third of face. In majority of cases,this is sufficient to restore youthful face.

Full facelift is surgical tightening of entire face from eyebrow to neck to improve appearance.
4. How long does a facelift last?
It depends upon the experience/training of the surgeon. A nicely done complete Full facelift done by an ISAPS trained Plastic Surgeon usually lasts for about 15 years. Similarly a well done Mini facelift by an ISAPS trained surgeon usually lasts for 2-6 years. As the aging process continues gradually skin loosens again. So it becomes prudent that you choose your surgeon carefully who is well trained and preferably ISAPS certified.

Yes, as long as the person is of good general well being & health. Anyone at any age can get facelift but make sure to share your medical history and previous and present health conditions with your surgeon.

After the surgery, it is not uncommon to experience some side effects from the anaesthesia and you might experience some swelling on your face which will disappear after 10 to14 days and that’s when you will be able to return to your work.
8. How do you prepare for facelift?
No special preparations are required. However it is important that person doesn’t smoke for atleast 3 weeks before the surgery, avoids taking aspirin, anti inflammatory and herbal supplements like green tea etc. Generally the person is asked to stay fasting overnight a day before surgery. Exact specific instructions come from your surgeon’s side.
9. Can a face lift help acne scar?
Yes it does. Facelift can improve your appearance by fading the acne scars.
10. Can facelift be reversed?
No. However, the person shouldn’t panic even if the face doesn’t look exactly how he had expected it to be, just after the surgery.
